2º Evaluate the impact of intercropping practices in pest and weed management in almond orchards from the Mediterranean area;
3º Valorise the nutritional properties of almonds and crops used in intercropping farming;
4º Assessment of the economic, social and environmental impacts of examined practices;
5º Increase agro-food stakeholders’ skills and sharing of intercropping practices for sustainable agriculture among Mediterranean countries.
Collaborative Laboratory Mountains of Research, Association is a Private Non-Profit Association, whose members include research units, associated laboratories, and higher education institutions, technological centers and SMEs. It aims to implement research and innovation agendas in mountain areas oriented towards the creation of economic and social value.

Mountain Research Centre (CIMO) is an Excellent National FCT R&D unit, conducting research on Mediterranean mountain systems and aiming to promote scientific and technological development and their transformation into global opportunities to mountain ecosystems.
CNCFS (Centro Nacional de Competências dos Frutos Secos) is a non-profit association, which exists to promote the development the sector of dried fruit in Portugal, including chestnut, almond, walnut, hazelnut and carob, trough the strengthening research, promoting innovation and with transfer and dissemination of knowledge. CNCFS organizes several trainings and/or entertainment events throughout the year and invests in the development of partnerships with various entities.
UNIST (University of Split) is a public higher education institution in Croatia, founded in 1974, organized in 11 Faculties, 1 Academy of Arts and 4 Departments. There are around 20,000 students enrolled in its undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programmes. UNIPA (Università degli Studi di Palermo) is a public teaching and research university. It is a consolidated cultural, scientific and teaching presence in central-western Sicily (Italy). The Department of Agricultural, Food and Forest Sciences (SAAF) works in the areas of agricultural sciences, agri-food, forestry and environmental. The multidisciplinary context provides integration, according to a holistic approach, to the aspects of the exploitation of rural and environmental contexts.
Agricultural Research Organization (ARO) is leading the agricultural research in Israel in the last century. As the research authority of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, ARO aims at improving the ways we produce food, and has the approved ability to conduct and disseminate effective research promoting sustainable agriculture. ARO provides technological and scientific competences to the agricultural research.
USMS (University Sultan Moulay Slimane) is a non-profit public higher-education institution, founded in 2007, located in the small city of Béni Mellal, Marroccos. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche Scientifique et de la Formation des Cadres, USMS is composed by twelve institutions spread over five cities. USMS provides a large and diversified knowledge and learning, with a wide range of basic and vocational training, namely for the areas of plant biotechnology, fruit tree adaptation to climate change, fruit quality and productivity and phenological modeling.
INRA (National Institute of Agronomic Research) mission is to undertake research for agricultural development. It is a public establishment whose origins date back to 1914 with the creation of the first official agricultural research services. It has recently undergone a structural reorganization aimed at modernizing its management process.
