Establish a database of intercropping practices used for almond orchards in Mediterranean regions. Establish demo sites across the Mediterranean partners for project VALMEDALM intercropping strategies implementation. Evaluate the impact of intercropping strategies on crop productivity and sustainability.

Establish a database of main pests affecting almond orchards in Mediterranean regions. Evaluate the impact of intercropping practices in almond orchards pest and weed management.

Perform a physicochemical and nutritional value characterization of almonds and intercrops, as well as the determination of the chemical composition and evaluation of bioactivity.

Conduct an economic analysis of almond production impacted with intercropping practices. Determine the most suitable indicators of environmental, technical and social scope. Apply multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) tools to integrate all the environmental, economic and social sustainability results.

Development of interaction channels in close collaboration with farmers associations. Promote knowledge transfer and training for local farmers using demo sites as points of exchange. Promote and develop collaborative work methodologies and initiatives towards farmers using intercropping practices.

WP6 will guarantee a fluent external communication of VALMEDALM activities, progress, and findings, providing optimal visibility and contacts to all relevant stakeholders, and the use of exploitation of project results. Implement a Communication and Dissemination Plan to increase the extent of the VALMEDALM outcomes and define the information channels. Develop a robust communication strategy towards local farmers and their communities. Promote the scheduling and attendence of national and international events related with the scope of the project. Promote and follow the production of scientific resources Define an Exploitation Committee with expertise in knowledge transfer and responsible for the development and implementation of an Exploitation and Dissemination of Results Plan. 

Carry out a comprehensive set of project management activities in order to manage and optimise the application of resources of a multicultural and multidisciplinary consortium. Ensure the implementation of project management procedures, coordinate and report with PRIMA Foundation and guarantee the execution of the project resolutions.
